At the Heart of Things

Ko•ko•ro (こころ) is a tough word to Englishify. But this fact is a big part of what drew us so passionately to the word. It most often means "heart," though can translate as any of the following (and more): spirit; soul; feeling; mind; mood; the heart of things; the essence of things.

There are countless interpretations of the word, but at the core, there is a certain sense of mysticism that gives the word its meaning. In this way, the Kokoro girl is similar to the very word she personifies. She is full of life and full of love. At heart, she is a dedicated wanderlust, a true romantic, and is always in search of the next big adventure that will change her life. She is a gold-winning shoplete with the most covetable closet in town. What keeps the Kokoro girl's heart beating? Why, Kokoro Vintage, of course.
